Planning Task Two: Content Creation
How will
my contents be organised into sections?
Although many other style magazines can feature 8 to 10 different contents sections, I believe that a magazine with less categories will be more effective, as surplus categories can often be wasted, due to a lack of readership. Therefore, i have chosen to select five categories for my contents to be organised into:
Fashion – This, as suggested by the commonly-themed
magazine title, will be the main element of Threaded, especially due to the
reliance of fashion as always being a relative topic among younger audiences,
who will always be experimenting new styles.
Beauty – This topic is becoming more and more
prominent in modern culture, with people becoming more sophisticated, more adherent to modern-day beauty standards. Furthermore, the
rise in awareness of toxic masculinity has meant that that area of beauty is
becoming explored by men, as well as women.
Film and TV – The rise of
on-demand television, courtesy of digital streaming platforms such as Disney+
and Netflix, and how this has correlated to a rise in interest regarding the film industry beyond the content it produces, such as the rising interest in events such as the Oscars, and the glamour of such events, has triggered a growing correlation between Film and TV, as well as style.
Music – In a similar manner to the film and TV industry, music has also become a far more portable hobby to adopt, due to recent technological advancements, notably including wireless earbuds and headphones. However, unlike film and TV, music has also become easier to create, through platforms, such as BandLab, and even Spotify’s own, SoundTrap.
Highlights - This section will combine the main events of all the other categories, in order to provide a page where the "best bits" of content from within the style world can be exclusively elaborated on.
What different
articles will be featured in the different categories of the contents page?

January Issue
The main coverline of the January issue will be connected to the “MILAN/PARIS MENS FASHION WEEK – The Preview” article, as it enables me to centre this issue around my male model, creating a possible pathway into audio-visual content within my magazine website.
Another coverline will be connected to the “2026 Winter Wardrobe Essentials” article, as it illustrates the main focus of the magazine being fashion, and with the concept of “essentials” hoping to draw in a wide audience of young adults, due to them being commonly demanded across this audience.
Another coverline will be connected to both of the “25 of ‘25” articles, helping to illustrate the additional focuses of Threaded in regard to both its Film and TV category, as well as its Music category, and that Threaded is more than just a fashion magazine, and that it is instead a style magazine.
February Issue
The main coverline of the February issue will be connected to the “Romance On The Runway" article, as this helps me to build upon the character previously established in the main article of the January Issue, now exploring his romantic side.
Another
coverline will be connected to the articles surrounding The Golden Globes, which,
at the time of the release of this issue, will have only recently occurred. Therefore,
the versatility of the impacts of this event helps to introduce the alternative
Film and TV and Music focuses of the magazine, as well as reinforcing its fashion
focus.
